9 April Concert Rosanne van Sandwijk

Following the success of the string, saxophone and harp concerts, we are very pleased to announce the first vocal concert at Piet Hein Eek. On 5 March 2012, mezzo-soprano Rosanne van Sandwijk (1983) sang at the Concertgebouw building in Amsterdam and she will delight us with her singing on Easter Monday. Accompanied by pianist Steven Faber, she will perform works by Haydn, Mozart and Händel.

Rosanne studied classical singing at the Conservatory of Rotterdam under Roberta Alexander and graduated cum laude with a Master’s degree. She is currently being accompanied vocally by Margreet Honig.

She made her debut last year with De Nederlandse Opera (The Dutch Opera) in the role of Priestess in Gluck’s ‘Iphigenia in Tauris’ with Les Musiciens de Louvre, conducted by Marc Minkowski. In 2012, she will be performing with The Dutch Opera in the roles of the Second Esquire and Second Flower Maiden in Pierre Audi’s staging of Parsifal, in collaboration with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by Ivan Fischer.
