Other scrapwood products had not been developed since his early cupboard designs from the start of his career. However, with the arrival of his first baby with wife Jeanine, the frustrations associated with the ugliness and temporary nature of existing children's furniture prompted him to create this new scrapwood range for children. This signalled the re-emergence of what has now become one of his signature styles, having added many new products made from this material since then.
